The third Tavern Brawl is a third iteration of the Boss Battle Royale. When that transformed minion dies, the original minion takes its place and rejoins the battle. The second Brawl is a Masquerade Tavern Brawl where minions transform into other minions that cost two more. Rise of the Zombeast will be the first Tavern Brawl, where both players use Deathstaker Rexxar’s Hero Power from Knights of the Frozen Throne to build a Zombeast every single turn. Image via Blizzard Entertainmentįor the weekly Tavern Brawl, Blizzard teased what the next three will be to match up with the event. No matter where the story goes, there will always be Huffer. Finding success in the Book of Heroes will grant you a Hunter pack, which will give you only Hunter cards from Standard. The tale will talk about Rexxar’s half-orc and ogre heritage and how he came to meet Thrall. The next hero that will be following Jaina is Rexxar. With the introduction of the free Book of Heroes solo content, Hearthstone is adding a new way to look at the lore for each hero in the game. After selecting your two heroes, you’ll draft cards from both classes and the neutral pool to create your arena deck. With Dual Class Arenas, players pick one class out of three and then another selection of heroes out of three to gain that corresponding Hero Power. Elementals at first glance look like a mix between Pirates and Murlocs due to their ability to alter Bob’s economy and grant each other multiple stats. The Elementals’ arrival in Battlegrounds is adding four new heroes and 16 minions. Aside from these three starting features, Rexxar’s chapter in the Book of Heroes will be playable, in addition to each week bringing a new Hallow’s End themed Tavern Brawl. To celebrate Dual Class Arena’s arrival, every player is getting a free arena run to try it out. In this event, Elementals storm the Battlegrounds mode, Dual Class Arena returns, and players receive a Legendary Quest Chain. It seems to be all about balance with this Arena mode, but continued playtesting may prove a particular class combo to be superior.Starting tomorrow, Hearthstone is introducing another event in collaboration with Hallow’s End with Patch 18.4, The Masquerade Ball. Using Rogue and Druid spells to clear minions feels almost dirty. Getting Warlock's Hero Power with classes like Hunter or Warrior allows you to draw your powerful combo pieces early on. Warlock and Rogue are still tier one classes and combine well with anything else. Unlike regular Arena runs, where we can see which class has the highest win percentage, dual-class area Arena is still too new to decide. Picking the best classes is entirely up to player discretion. Checking HearthArena and using their program is the best way to ensure a passable deck if you are a new player. It's all about finding that synergy that makes your deck work. Having a Sapphire Spellstone with Priest and no Overload is just a waste of a card. If you have the wave clear of Shaman, Volcano or Lightning Storm might be solid replacements. Normally when playing Paladin, Consecration or Truesilver Champion would always be a good pickup, but not necessarily in the Hallow's End. Slapping two classes together and picking the best cards from both sounds like a great idea, butit doesn't always work. Nothing hurts more than only drawing Mad Bombers on turn 10 or Sleepy Dragons in your opening hand. You want cards that allow you to curve out in the early, mid and late game. Cards like Stonehill Defender, Tar Creeper and Cobalt Scalebane are always a good choice, regardless of the class you pick. The rules of regular Arena still hold true here: try and draft cards that work well together, get cards that synergize well together and find all the Bone Drakes. Understanding which cards to draft can be quite the challenge, especially if you aren't up to date on the best cards and classes. Wasting your free run on a run with three losses and no wins would be an outright travesty. Players get one free Arena run just for playing the game during the event. The first class you pick is your Hero Portrait while you get the second's Hero Power. Returning from last year's event, this new Arena permutation slams two classes together in unholy matrimony. 31 will earn a Golden Witches Cauldron, have access to the Sir Annoy-O bundle and access to a brand new dual-class Arena. Players who log-in between today and Oct. Hearthstone's Hallow's End event has just begun, bringing a plethora of spooky surprises to Blizzard's card game.
